NABLUS (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Israeli settlers attacked on Tuesday an agricultural nursery in Nablus, while others bulldozed 60 dunums in the village of Um Safa, northwest of Ramallah.
At dawn Tuesday, Jewish settlers stole and destroyed the contents of an agricultural nursery in the town of Deir Sharaf, west of Nablus, in the northern West Bank.
Ahmed Al-Nasser, the owner of “Al-Nasser Nursery,” reported that settlers stormed the nursery at dawn after destroying the security fence, stole quantities of fruitful seedlings, and destroyed the rest of the plants.
He explained that he observed settlers storming the nursery and stealing seedlings from inside, then heading to the nearby evacuated Homesh settlement.
He pointed out that this is the sixth time that his nursery has been robbed and destroyed by settlers, noting that the robbery was caught on his surveillance cameras.
On the other hand, other fanatic settlers carried out bulldozing operations in the Jabal al-Ras area in the village of Um Safa, northwest of Ramallah.
Marwan Sabah, the head of the village council, reported that about 60 out of 500 dunums of the village’s land were bulldozed.
He pointed out that settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation army and escorted by bulldozers, raided the area at dawn Tuesday, and started bulldozing lands planted with grapes and olives, without any prior notification.
Sabah pointed out that the village of Um Safa has become encircled by Israeli settlements in light of the expansion of the Ateret settlement illegally built on its lands.
He explained that three houses in the village had previously been notified of demolition, warning of Israeli plans to establish new settlements in the area.
