GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement mourned the three martyrs who were killed by Israeli occupation forces’ (IOF) gunfire in Qabatya town in Jenin, stressing that their assassination encourages Palestinians to continue qualitative resistance operations.
In a press statement on Thursday evening, Hamas called on the Palestinians in the West Bank to “escalate confrontations with the IOF,” as part of the Al-Aqsa Flood battle which has extended to all arenas of confrontation with the IOF.
On Thursday afternoon, three Palestinian youths were martyred, and four others were injured after the IOF stormed the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, and encircled a house before bombing it with Energa missiles.
Footage has shown Israeli occupation soldiers climbing onto the rooftop of the house and dragging the bodies of the three martyrs outside, before a military bulldozer began demolishing the besieged house.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses confirmed that ambulance crews transferred two people injured with live bullets in the shoulder and the knee, and others who were run over by an Israeli military jeep while they were inside a public vehicle.
Dozens of students suffered from suffocation as a result of inhaling toxic tear gas which was heavily fired by the IOF towards the nearby Izzat Abu al-Rub School and Qabatiya Elementary School.
The Qabatiya’s Education Director Ahmed Jarara’a said that about 1,000 students were trapped in the two schools, and 200 employees and citizens were trapped inside the Education Directorate, while eight schools were evacuated in distant areas.
