BEIRUT (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Israeli aircraft launched a violent airstrike on a building in the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on Friday evening inflicting a number of casualties.
Lebanese sources reported that the Israeli warplanes targeted a residential building in the Qaim area of southern Beirut, resulting in several casualties and significant destruction.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that 8 people were martyred and 59 others were injured in the Israeli airstrike on the southern suburb of Beirut.
Hebrew Channel 12 mentioned that the target of the Israeli attack in Beirut was the military leader of Hezbollah, Ibrahim Oqail.
No immediate comment has been issued by Hezbollah. It is worth noting that the leader Ibrahim Oqail, known as Haj Tahseen, had a $7 million American bounty on him for his alleged role in the bombing of the US embassy in Beirut in April 1983, which resulted in the death of 63 people at the time.
