GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement condemned the recent Israeli airstrike on Beirut’s southern suburbs, describing it as an “aggressive terrorist assault.”
In a statement issued Friday, the Movement denounced the airstrike carried out by Israeli warplanes, calling it a “new crime in the ongoing series of Zionist atrocities and an escalation of Israeli aggression.”
“We in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) condemn the brutal terrorist aggression launched by the Zionist enemy’s military aircraft on the southern suburbs of Beirut, targeting a densely populated residential area, which resulted in the martyrdom of several people and the injury of others.”
“We consider this a new crime in the ongoing series of Zionist crimes, a violation of Lebanese sovereignty, and an escalation of Zionist aggression.”
“We stand in solidarity with our brothers in Hezbollah and the Islamic Resistance, fully supporting them. We value their courageous positions and their commitment to national, religious, and humanitarian values by continuing to support our people in Gaza.”
“We affirm that this fascist aggression will not succeed in achieving any of its goals, and the resistance will continue on its path until full liberation and the defeat of the Zionist project in the region.”
For its part, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) confirmed that the Israeli bombing of residential buildings in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital is a new crime added to the record of crimes of Israel’s terrorist army and its fascist criminal government.
PFLP renewed its full solidarity with the Lebanese people, resistance, and its leadership in the face of the Israeli terrorist aggression and the extensive and increasing genocide.
Earlier Friday, Israeli aircraft launched a violent airstrike on a building in the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, inflicting a number of casualties.
Lebanese sources reported that the Israeli warplanes targeted a residential building in the Qaim area of southern Beirut, resulting in several casualties and significant destruction.
