OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement has warned of Jewish settlers’ plan to increase their desecration of the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards during their upcoming holidays, calling on Muslim worshipers to intensify their presence at their holy site.
In a statement on Monday, senior Hamas official Haroun Nasiruddin stressed the need for every Palestinian capable of entering the holy city to frequent and stay at the Aqsa Mosque to foil settlers’ attempts to Judaize it.
Nasiruddin said that the people of Jerusalem and the West Bank have a greater responsibility to defend and protect the Aqsa Mosque against the danger threatening it.
He warned that the Israeli occupation regime does not stop trying to impose new faits accomplices at the Aqsa Mosque as a prelude to dividing it temporally and spatially and then controlling it in its entirety.
