Three people killed, others injured in Israeli attack on Syria

DAMASCUS   (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Three civilians were killed and nine others were injured in Israeli airstrikes on the Syrian capital Damascus, Syrian state media said early on Tuesday citing a military source.

Syrian state television earlier said that one of its presenters was killed in an Israeli strike on Damascus. It was unclear whether the presenter was among the three civilians mentioned by the state media.

The Israeli aerial attack also caused a significant damage to private property, state media added.

The reports of strikes on the Syrian capital came as the Israeli occupation army claimed it started a limited ground operation overnight in neighboring Lebanon in a major escalation of its offensive targeting the resistance group Hezbollah.
