GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) 20 people have been confirmed killed by Israel’s aerial attack on the Tulkarem refugee camp, the Palestinian Health Ministry reported on Thursday evening.
The airstrike targeted a popular café in the Al-Hamam neighborhood in the Ain Shams camp in Tulkarem in the northern West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said, in a brief statement, that its crews pulled out 20 martyrs following the bombing.
Many of the casualties have been brought to Tulkarem Governmental Hospital, it added.
Israeli media sources reported that the bombing is the first of its kind to be carried out in Tulkarem since the second intifada.
The sources said that the attack was apparently aimed at assassinating the resistance fighter Ghaith Radwan, one of the leaders of the Tulkarem Battalion.
