Settlers and IOF attack Palestinians in W. Bank, several citizens injured

WEST BANK  (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Extremist Jewish settlers attacked Palestinian farmers and shepherds in different West Bank areas on Friday, while Israeli soldiers opened fire at a young man and injured him in Nablus.

According to local sources, a horde of Jewish settlers brutalized Palestinian olive harvesters in Sebastia town, northwest of Nablus, and forced them to leave their groves.

Other group of armed settlers opened fire at Palestinian shepherds in a grazing area in Hizma town, east of Jerusalem, and forced them to leave the area with their sheep. No one was hurt in the attack.

Meanwhile, the Red Crescent said that its paramedics transferred a 29-year-old young man to a hospital after he suffered a bullet injury in his thigh during clashes between local youths and Israeli forces in Urif town, south of Nablus.

In Bethlehem, Israeli forces stormed al-Khader town and showered homes and local residents with tear gas. A number of citizens reportedly suffered from inhaling tear gas fumes during the IOF attack.

In Jericho, 15 Palestinian workmen suffered injuries and bruises when Israeli police officers savagely assaulted them in al-Auja town.

WAFA news agency said that police officers intercepted a car carrying West Bank workers as they returned from their workplace in the Dead Sea area and severely beat them.
