OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Member of Hamas’s political bureau Haroun Nasiruddin has warned that Jewish settlers’ use of their religious holidays as an opportunity to desecrate the Aqsa Mosque is aimed at Judaizing the Islamic holy site and take full control of it.
In a statement on Thursday, Nasiruddin called for necessarily defending the Aqsa Mosque and continue to participate in the Aqsa Flood battle, which was launched to protect it against Israeli plans to impose new faits accomplis at the holy site.
The Hamas official highlighted that the Israeli occupation regime and its settler groups exploit the holiday seasons and religious occasions to escalate their provocative practices in the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards as a prelude to making their desecration of the holy site with Jewish prayers and rituals as faits accomplis.
He called on Muslim worshipers to intensify their presence at the Aqsa Mosque, stressing the need for the Palestinian citizens in Jerusalem, the West Bank and 1948 occupied Palestine to make every effort to frustrate Israeli plots against the Mosque.
