Yasuf village plunges into darkness after settler attacks

SALFIT  (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Palestinian village of Yasuf, east of Salfit, plunged into total darkness on Thursday evening after a group of Jewish settlers vandalized the electricity room that supplies the village.

The head of the Yasuf village council, Abu Madi, said in media statements that settlers from the “Taffuah” illegal settlement vandalized and stoned the electricity room, which led to a total power outage in the village.

Abu Madi pointed out that the village is repeatedly subjected to similar settler attacks, especially during the olive harvest season.

Most of these attacks are carried out under the Israeli army’s protection, he added.
