GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, mourned the martyr leader of Hamas, Yahya Al-Sinwar, who was martyred in an armed clash with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Rafah in the Gaza Strip a couple of days ago.
In a statement on Friday, the Al-Qassam Brigades considered Sinwar’s martyrdom while he was engaged in an armed clash with the IOF as a source of pride, citing his long history in the Movement and its military and security apparatuses and his imprisonment for twenty years in Israel before his release in the “Wafa al-Ahrar” deal.
The Al-Qassam stated that Sinwar supervised the Movement’s military work and contributed to unifying the resistance fronts, before he headed the Movement in Gaza, stressing that his leadership period constituted a qualitative shift in Hamas’s political and military work before succeeding martyr Ismail Haneyya in leading the Political Bureau of Hamas.
Al-Qassam stressed that the assassination of resistance leaders such as Sinwar, Haneyya, Nasrallah, Al-Arouri and others cannot weaken the resistance or push it to surrender, stressing that the resistance will continue and escalate its operations until the legitimate goals of the Palestinian people of liberation from occupation are achieved.
