IOF kidnaps several Palestinians during W. Bank raids

WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed last night and on Wednesday morning different areas of the West Bank and kidnaped a number of Palestinian citizens, amid clashes with local youths.

According to local sources, a Palestinian teenager was injured in his leg by gunfire during clashes between local youths and Israeli forces in Halhul town, north of al-Khalil.

In Nablus, Israeli forces and extremist settlers stormed the eastern area of Nablus City and swarmed Joseph’s Tomb and the area around it.

Violent clashes broke out between local young men and Israeli forces in the eastern area of Nablus.

Another group of settlers escorted by Israeli soldiers spread in the ancient site of Birnat on Mount Ebal in Nablus and embarked on performing Talmudic rituals.

The settlers claim that there was an altar on Mount Ebal in an attempt to seize the area.

Two months ago, the IOF closed a road used by Palestinian citizens near Mount Ebal with mounds of dirt and rocks in order to secure the presence of settlers in the area.

In Tubas, the IOF kidnaped at dawn a young man from his home in Aqaba town.

In Jerusalem, Israeli police forces kidnaped a young man from Issawiya district, amid restrictions on the movement of Palestinian vehicles at the checkpoints of Jaba and Hizma.

In Bethlehem, the IOF closed the main entrance of al-Manshiya village with concrete blocks and mounds of dirt, which will lead to movement restrictions in nearby areas.

Israeli forces also kidnaped a young man from Jiljilyya village in Ramallah and three other citizens during raids in Qalqilya.

In Salfit, the IOF assaulted a citizen during raids on homes in al-Zawiya town.
