OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Hundreds of extremist Jewish settlers desecrated the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Wednesday to mark the seventh day of the Sukkot holiday in its courtyards.
According to local sources, hundreds of settlers defiled the Aqsa Mosque in different groups under police escort in the morning hours.
A large number of settlers also rallied in the Aqsa Mosque’s western wall area while carrying Israeli flags and performing different Jewish prayers.
Since the one-week Sukkot holiday started last Thursday, the Israeli police have closed many roads and neighborhoods in Jerusalem, intensified the presence of its forces inside and around the city, banished several Palestinians from the Aqsa Mosque, and summoned others for interrogation.
