GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) In the midst of catastrophic humanitarian suffering for more than two million Palestinians — half of them children, the Israeli occupation army continued, for the 383rd consecutive day, to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern areas.
Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation army carried out attacks on several homes, civilian targets and shelter centers in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, killing and injuring dozens of citizens.
According to media sources, an Israeli drone opened fire at a civilian near the Yemen Al-Saeed Hospital in northern Gaza, killing him immediately.
The Israeli army attacked a group of citizens in Khirbet Adas area, north of Rafah in southern Gaza, killing two people and injuring another one.
The Israeli army also attacked displaced families sheltering in al-Zahraa School in Gaza City, killing three people and injuring dozens.
On Tuesday evening, an Israeli artillery attack targeted Zaid bin Haritha School in Beit Lahia, north of Gaza, killing seven displaced citizens and injuring others.
Four people were martyred and several others were injured on Wednesday morning when an Israeli airstrike targeted municipal workers in al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
The Israeli army also attacked an UNRWA truck near the junction of Abu Hawli in central Gaza, killing two brothers. One of them works for the agency.
At dawn, a mother and her two kids were martyred and others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a house belonging to the family of Halawa in the west of Jabalia, north of Gaza.
More casualties were reported in different areas of Gaza following Israeli aerial, artillery and shooting attacks last night and today.
In a related context, spokesman for the civil defense service Mahmoud Basal has warned that the occupation army is using a block-by-block policy aimed at emptying the neighborhoods in northern Gaza gradually, adding that hundreds of civilians in Jabalia are facing extreme danger.
Basal pointed out that the Israeli army deliberately destroyed a large residential block in Jabalia and started now to focus on the bombing of shelter centers in Beit Lahia, which is adjacent to Jabalia refugee camp.
“What is happening in Jabalia camp is unprecedented. The Indonesian Hospital is closed and the Kamal Adwan and Al-Awda Hospitals are under siege, where anyone trying to enter or leave is targeted,” the civil defense spokesman said.
He affirmed that the Israeli army also destroyed the residential blocks around the Kamal Adwan Hospital and blocked all the roads leading to it.
