GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) committed on Tuesday morning a horrific massacre after it bombed an apartment building in Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip.
Local sources told a reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that an Israeli warplane bombed a five-story apartment building belonging to the family of Naser and reduced it to rubble.
They said that over 100 civilians, mostly women and children, were living in the building.
According to initial medical and media reports, 77 people were killed and many others were injured.
The death toll is likely to rise as many victims are still buried under the rubble and several wounded people are in critical condition.
Civilians living in the area have been working on recovering bodies of the martyrs and evacuating the wounded because ambulance and civil defense services in northern Gaza have become out of commission.
Media sources reported ongoing Israeli bombardment in the vicinity of the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia as dozens of victims were being evacuated from the bombed building to the facility.
The Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza is already debilitated and unable to provide the minimum medical assistance for patients and wounded civilians.
