Israel’s Prolonged Conflict in Lebanon Marks 39 Days of Fighting

BEIRUT (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli army continued its bloody war on Lebanon for the 39th consecutive day on Thursday, launching dozens of airstrikes and artillery shelling on various regions of the country, in addition to a ground invasion in several southern villages, amid fierce resistance from Hezbollah.

Lebanese media reported the martyrdom of three people in two Israeli raids targeting the town of Sahmar in the Western Bekaa, eastern Lebanon.

The Israeli army targeted a motorcycle in the town of Qaraoun in the Western Bekaa, killing one man. Israeli warplanes launched several airstrikes on various areas in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa region.

Medical crews recovered dozens of martyrs and wounded as a result of the Israeli raids on Badnayel and Beit Salibi.

On Wednesday, 27 people were martyred and 15 others were wounded in three raids carried out by Israeli warplanes on the towns of Yahmou, Badnayel, and Mazraat Beit Salibi.

Lebanese media reported that “11 people were martyred and 15 others were injured in the raids on Sahmar, while 9 people were martyred in the raid on Bednayel, and 7 people were martyred in a raid that targeted a house in the farm of Beit Salibi, adjacent to the town of Shamstar”.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that 2,822 people were martyred and 12,937 others were wounded since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon.
