OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) killed on Tuesday morning a Palestinian child in Qalandia refugee camp, northeast of Jerusalem, while the Israeli municipality demolished a mosque in Jabel Mukaber neighborhood in the holy city.
According to local sources, a 12-year-old child was shot dead by Israeli police during their raid in Qalandia camp.
Meanwhile, bulldozers belonging to the Israeli municipality demolished, under police protection, the ash-Sayyah Mosque in Jabel Mukaber neighborhood.
About two weeks ago, the mosque imam received a notice from the municipality threatening to knock down the Islamic holy site, which was built 20 years ago, at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
In a separate incident, Israeli police officers assaulted and kidnaped a Jerusalemite young man at the Jaba checkpoint in the holy city.
