Raids, clashes across occupied West Bank

RAMALLAH (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched late yesterday and at dawn Friday violent raids across the West Bank, which led to the outbreak of violent clashes.

In Nablus, the Israeli forces surrounded a local house in the al-Qubba neighborhood in Beit Furik town and arrested a number of citizens.

In Jenin, the IOF troops stormed Ya’bad town, which led to the outbreak of violent clashes with resistance fighters.

The Al-Quds Brigades – Jenin Battalion- stated in a statement that its fighters confronted the Israeli raid into Ya’bad town and detonated a pre-prepared explosive device in a military vehicle.

No arrests or casulties were reported during the raid.

In Ramallah, Israeli military vehicles stormed Shuqba village amid heavy firing of teargas and sound bombs.

Similar raids were reported in the Shuweika suburb and Bal’a town in Tulkarem.

The IOF also ordered the demolition of the home of the family of prisoner Muhammad Talal Abu Yassin, who carried out the shooting operation in Beit Lid and Bal’a, during which an Israeli soldier was killed and 4 others were injured in October 2023.

Israeli troops also stormed Qusra and Urif town, south of Nablus, without carrying out any arrests.

In Bethlehem, the IOF forces stormed Al-Khader town amid heavy fire of teargas bombs.

Tension has been running high in the West Bank due to Israel’s brutal war on the Gaza Strip, which has killed over 43,900 people, mostly women and children.

At least 785 Palestinians have since been killed and over 6,300 others injured by Israeli army fire in the occupied West Bank, according to the Health Ministry.
