NEW DELHI (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Muslim Students Organization of India (MSO) students body of Sufi Muslim extended the solidarity with the Palestinians who are facing grave violation of human rights due to attack of imperialist forces.
It said in a statement on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People on Friday 29/11/2024 that “innocent people are being butchered. They are being mercilessly killed. Women and children are being mercilessly killed. What is going on is a flagrant violation of international human rights.”
India has always been standing behind the Palestinian people. India has traditionally been supporting the Palestinian people. Right from the time of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, we have been supporting the Palestinian people. The Father of Nation said “Palestine belongs to the Arabs in the same sense that England belongs to the English or France to the French. It is wrong and inhuman to impose the Jews on the Arabs… Surely it would be a crime against humanity to reduce the proud Arabs so that Palestine can be restored to the Jews partly or wholly as their national home” ― Mahatma Gandhi.
“We the Indian people stand in solidarity with the courageous Palestinian nation in their struggle against the Israeli Zionist colonial occupation of their homeland. The Indian people ever since the days of our own independence movement have steadfastly supported the Palestinian nation,” the MSO statement said.
It added, “The Israeli occupation is committed to the total ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people from all of historic Palestine and the destruction of the holy sites which include the Masjid-al- Aqsa and the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem.”
The statement concluded by saying, “We are therefore committed to:
-Government of India Must condemn the Israeli attack in parliament.
-Ending the war and occupation of Gaza and human right violation should be stopped.
-To prevail upon the Government of India to take up the matter with the international body, the United Nations.
-Equal rights for all within historic Palestine.
-The Right of Return for Palestinian refugees.”
