Palestinians injured in IOF shooting and teargas attacks in W. Bank

WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A number of Palestinian citizens were reportedly injured when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed West Bank areas on Saturday and attacked Palestinian citizens with tear gas and live ammunition.

According to local sources, several Palestinian citizens suffered from their exposure to tear gas, including an infant, at dawn Saturday when Israeli forces stormed al-Rihiya village, southwest of al-Khalil.

Israeli forces also stormed Idhna town in the west of al-Khalil, spread in its streets and embarked on randomly firing stun grenades and tear gas canisters at local residents.

During the IOF raid in Idhna town, Israeli soldiers set up a makeshift checkpoint on a road and embarked on stopping and searching vehicles.

Meanwhile, a group of Palestinian citizens fended off an armed Jewish settler as he tried to infiltrate into al-Tabaka village in the south of al-Khalil.

In Bethlehem, the IOF carried out raids on homes and confiscated some security camera recordings during a raid in Nahalin town. The raid took place following a shooting incident in a nearby area.

According to media sources, a Palestinian opened fire from a car at an IOF patrol vehicle in the area between the towns of Husan and al-Khader in the west of Bethlehem.

In Nablus, a young man was injured in his leg during clashes in Iraq Burin, south of the province.

On Friday, Palestinian resistance fighters carried out a number of shooting operations against Israeli forces and detonated some explosive devices at IOF vehicles in different areas of the West Bank.
