Caracas (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has said that Venezuela is Palestine and the capital Caracas is Jerusalem and the pillar of resistance. He expressed these views while addressing the participants of the International Palestine Conference held in Caracas on November 29 & 30, in connection with the Palestinian International Solidarity Day.
The conference was hosted by President Maduro and was attended by delegates from 52 countries around the world including Asia, Africa, South America.
Pakistan’s four-member delegation including Jamaat-e-Islami Vice-Amir Dr. Miraj Al Huda Siddiqui, Secretary General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam, well-known GTV anchor person Amir Abbas and others participated in the International Palestine Conference.
The International Palestine Conference was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela and the Global Campaign to Return to Palestine.
In an International Palestinian conference, leaders from Hamas, Islamic Jihad, including Palestinian resistance fighters Laila Khalid and Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails were invited.
In the conference, the leaders active in the anti-colonial and anti – imperial struggle in South America, including Cuba, Fidel Castro’s niece, Maria Castro, also participated.
In the conference, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Ivan Hill and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Carlos, as well as the Spanish parliament member Manuel, also participated in the conference.
Ambassadors of many countries also participated.
Addressing the participants of the conference, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro took the name of Pakistan by naming all the countries and also welcomed the Pakistani delegation.Nicolás Maduro said that fascist and colonialist governments are responsible for the genocide in Palestine. Western media is also under their control and they are unable to tell us the truth. He said that the majority of the world’s population should get rid of the clutches of these imperial governments.
He mentioned the services of the revolutionary leader of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, and said that we are fighting against the global colonial and imperial forces on the path of Commander Chavez.
Nicolás Maduro said that the United States and its allies are involved in sponsoring terrorist activities in Syria and we believe that the Syrian government will be able to eliminate these terrorist groups.
Venezuelan President Maduro said that we support Palestine and this support will continue.
On this occasion, he had a special meeting with the families of the Palestinian wounded and martyrs and said that the sacrifices of the Palestinian people will not be in vain.
In the conference, Pakistan , India, China, Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Malaysia, Cuba, Argentina, Spain, Cuba, Brazil, London, Ireland, South Africa, Kenya, Algeria, Turkey, Chile, Colombia, Sweden, Switzerland, Uzbekistan and other countries’ delegates participated.
