JENIN (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Six Palestinian civilians were martyred on Tuesday night in an Israeli airstrike in Jenin refugee camp, north of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian health ministry affirmed that bodies of several martyrs arrived at the Jenin Hospital following the airstrike.
Eyewitnesses said that a number of young people were martyred, including three brothers, and others were injured when an Israeli drone fired three missiles at a gathering of citizens in Jenin camp.
The martyrs were identified as Moamen Abul-Haija, 28, and his two young brothers, Amir and Baha, as well as Mahmoud Gharbiya, 15, Husam Qannuh, 34, and Ibrahim Qanniri, 23.
The Israeli aerial attack on Jenin camp took place as the tight siege imposed by Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces on its residents entered day 42.
Eyewitnesses reported that soldiers from the PA security forces opened fire at them as they were embarking on evacuating the casualties from the bombed area to hospitals.
In a related context, a senior commander of the Jenin Brigade said in a statement that the Israeli occupation army targeted a number of civilians and children in the camp in the midst of tight siege by PA security forces, calling on the PA to withdraw its forces immediately from the area.
