AL-KHALIL (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Palestinian health ministry said a Palestinian woman suffering from a health issue died at a checkpoint in the northeast of al-Khalil on Tuesday evening after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) obstructed her transfer to a hospital.
According to the health ministry, 45-year-old Iman Jaradat died of a heart attack after Israeli forces at the Beit Einun checkpoint prevented her transfer to a hospital.
Meanwhile, local sources said that the IOF blocked al-Sidr road and the entrances of al-Fawwar and Sa’ir in al-Khalil.
They added that heavy traffic jams happened on roads in different areas of al-Khalil as a result of Israeli road closures, including in Ras al-Joura, Farsh al-Hawa and Osh al-Ghurab.
Three days ago, the IOF started imposing strict military measures and restricting the movement of Palestinian citizens and vehicles across the West Bank, especially through blocking roads and setting up checkpoints.
