OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement has warned the Israeli occupation government of dire consequences if it persists in its violations and schemes against the Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem.
“The flame of Al-Aqsa Flood will remain unquenched, defending Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque regardless of the sacrifices,” Hamas said in a statement on the anniversary of Prophet Muhammad’s Isra and Mi’raj.
“The anniversary comes this year while we are living in an atmosphere filled with the great achievement our people have made with their legendary steadfastness and our resistance with their bravery during Al-Aqsa Flood battle and more than 15 months, which have culminated with an end to the aggression, the release of our prisoners from Israeli jails and the return of the displaced to their homes,” Hamas said.
“The Aqsa Mosque has been at the heart of this heroic battle … which reflects our people’s eternal attachment to Jerusalem and Aqsa,” Hamas highlighted.
Hamas also said that “Jerusalem will remain the eternal capital of Palestine and the Aqsa Mosque will remain a purely Islamic holy site.”
The Movement expressed its belief that the Israeli government would never succeed in changing the Arab and Islamic identity of Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque and their historical facts.
