Hamas: Trump’s displacement project in Gaza “recipe for more regional chaos”

GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement has condemned recent remarks by US president Donald Trump on relocating Gazan residents to neighboring Egypt and Jordan.

In a statement on Saturday, senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri denounced such a US proposal as “ridiculous and worthless,” saying “what the Israeli occupation has failed to achieve by force will never be taken through political games.”

“The repeated US statements on displacing Palestinians under the pretext of rebuilding the Gaza Strip reflect persistence in participating in the crime,” Abu Zuhri said.

The Hamas official warned that the US “displacement project” in Gaza is a “recipe for more chaos and tension in the region.”

On January 25, Trump proposed a controversial plan to displace Palestinians from Gaza to Egypt and Jordan, which was strongly rejected by both countries.
