RAMALLAH (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished a Palestinian house in Deir Ibzeigh town in western Ramallah on Tuesday morning.
The village’s mayor, Emad al-Tawil, said that IOF soldiers razed the two-story home of Ehab al-Sa’afin at the pretext of building without permit.
He said that the 200-square-meter house provided shelter for 16 persons of the Sa’afin family.
Local sources said that IOF soldiers raided the town in ten army vehicles and two bulldozers and started to tear down the house.
For its part, the Ant-Wall and Anti-Settlement Commission said in a report that the IOF had knocked down 126 Palestinian structures in the West Bank over the past month of January. It noted that most of the demolitions took place in Jenin with 47 structures followed by Jerusalem with 14, Qalqiliya 11 and 10 in each of Nablus and Bethlehem.
