BEIRUT (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem said the positions of the US President Donald Trump on the Palestinian issue represent a “politicide” against the Palestinian people, noting that these positions came after Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, failed to achieve his goals of the human genocide.
Qassem added in press statements that the US project represents a major threat to Arab and Muslim countries, warning of the continued Arab and international silence that allowed US positions to reach this level.
“Israel has not abandoned its expansion projects”, he said, affirming Hezbollah’s readiness to participate in any Arab plan aimed at preventing the displacement of Palestinians from their lands.
He stressed that the Palestinian people will never leave their land, calling for showing all forms of support to the Palestinians.
Trump put forward the idea of the US seizing the Gaza Strip at a press conference held in the White House with Netanyahu, last Tuesday, suggesting a proposal to transfer the Palestinians to neighboring countries, redefine the affected area and convert it into “Middle East Riviera”.
The US proposal to displace the Palestinians from Gaza was presented for the first time on January 25, urging Egypt and Jordan to receive more residents of the Strip.
