BEIRUT (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Head of Hamas’s national relations bureau Ali Baraka met in his office in Beirut with senior officials from the political bureau of the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front (PPSF) and discussed with them the latest developments in the Palestinian arena.
During the meeting that took place on Monday, the two sides talked about the ongoing Israeli attacks on the refugee camps in the occupied West Bank and the Israeli government’s refusal to release the seventh group of Palestinian prisoners as part of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement.
The two sides hailed the Palestinian people’s steadfastness in the face of the ongoing Israeli aggression at home and abroad, and their legitimate struggle to achieve their aspirations for liberation, return and independence.
The two sides urged the Arab summit slated to be held in Cairo on March 4 to support the Palestinian people’s steadfastness and reject the Zio-American schemes aimed at displacing the Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank to Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
The Hamas and PPSF officials emphasized the need for the Palestinian factions to close ranks against the Israeli occupation and its attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause, and highlighted the importance of UNRWA as an international witness to the refugees’ plight and as a reminder of their right to return.
