GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement said it reached an agreement with the Egyptian mediator on the release of the 620 Palestinian prisoners, whose handover had been delayed by the Israeli occupation government since last Saturday.
According to a statement released by Hamas late on Tuesday, a solution has been reached ensuring that the release of 620 Palestinian prisoners, along with additional Palestinian women and children detainees, would take place simultaneously with the handover of bodies of Israelis — who were killed in Israeli strikes during the genocidal war on Gaza.
A Hamas delegation, led by senior official Khalil al-Hayya, concluded a visit to the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Tuesday after holding meetings with Egyptian officials over the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement as well as the preparations for the second phase of the negotiations.
During the meetings in Cairo, the Hamas delegation emphasized the need for the Israeli occupation government to abide by all the terms of the deal fully and precisely.
