JENIN (Palestine Foundation Information Center)A Palestinian young man was martyred at dawn Tuesday after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked a building in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin City, north of the West Bank.
Israeli soldiers reportedly handed over the body of the young man, who was identified as Jihad Alawneh, to a Red Cross ambulance crew.
Earlier, local sources said that Alawneh suffered serious bullet injuries during clashes between resistance fighters and Israeli forces in the eastern area of Jenin.
The IOF reportedly bulldozed roads and wreaked havoc on property belonging to local residents in the area.
They also blew up an apartment behind the Boul building, brutalized several young men, and forced the Mar’iee family to evacuate their home by force in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin.
Eyewitnesses reported that the IOF closed and spread in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin, wreaked havoc on public and private property, and took over some residential buildings.
43 days ago, the Israeli occupation army launched a displacement and destruction campaign in the northern West Bank, starting with Jenin City and its refugee camp.
The IOF operation in Jenin has claimed the lives of 28 citizens and injured dozens.
