BETHLEHEM (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished Palestinian-owned facilities in Jericho and Tulkarem, as part of their ongoing policy of tightening the noose on citizens and imposing a new reality in the West Bank.
Local sources said that the IOF stormed Al-Auja town, north of Jericho, accompanied by bulldozers, and demolished the foundations of a building under construction, owned by the brothers Faisal and Ayman Abu Jarhoud.
On the other hand, the Israeli forces, without prior warning, demolished another building located in the Al-Gharasat area southeast of Faraoun town, south of Tulkarem.
Local sources pointed out that the building was built in 1990, saying that its owners had received a demolition notice more than 10 years ago, along with several other facilities and homes in the area.
Since then, the case was followed legally by local lawyers. However, the owners were surprised today by the Israeli demolition operation without prior notice.
The demolished facility belongs to the citizen Abdul Hamid Mustafa Shalabi, from Tulkarem, and is located about 200 meters away from the Apartheid Wall.
The home demolitions came as part of the Israeli systematic policy aimed at displacing Palestinians from their lands.
