JENIN (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Palestinian elderly woman and a young man were martyred and another citizen was injured on Tuesday when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at them in Jenin, north of the West Bank.
The Red Crescent said that its paramedics evacuated a 60-year-old woman from al-Jalamah checkpoint in Jenin.
The Red Crescent added that the IOF prevented one of its ambulances from entering the eastern neighborhood of Jenin City to evacuate a wounded young man.
Later, local sources affirmed that a young man called Ismail Abu Ghali succumbed to critical bullet injuries in the eastern neighborhood, adding that the IOF detained and abused his body.
Earlier, Israeli forces encircled a house in Jenin’s eastern neighborhood and attacked it with projectiles.
They also stormed Khilat al-Sawha neighborhood adjacent to Jenin refugee camp and ordered families to leave an apartment building.
In the western area of Jenin City, the IOF encircled the Lavender venue in Haifa street and ordered young men to leave it. There was no information about their exposure to detention.
Last night, the Red Crescent said that its paramedics provided first aid for four citizens suffering from bullet injuries in al-Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem, before evacuating them to hospitals.
The Red Crescent also provided medical assistance for a wounded young man after Israeli soldiers savagely assaulted him in Azzun town, east of Qalqilya.
