Hamas appreciates Yemeni decision, calls for escalating mobilization to end aggression and lift blockade

GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Hamas expressed its appreciation for the Yemeni Armed Forces’ decision to resume operations against Israeli ships in response to the closure of Gaza crossings, and called on free people of the world to escalate actions to end the aggression and lift the blockade.

Hamas said in a statement on Wednesday, “The Yemeni Armed Forces’ announcement of the resumption of operations against Israeli enemy ships in the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, Bab al-Mandab, and the Gulf of Aden, in response to the occupation’s continued closure of the crossings and the prevention of humanitarian aid, including food and medicine, from entering the Gaza Strip, point to the genuine position of the Yemeni people and their leadership, and the Yemeni people’s true commitment to supporting and backing our Palestinian people and their resistance. It also constitutes real pressure to break the unjust blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip.”

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced the resumption of the ban on all Israeli ships passing through the Red and Arabian Seas, Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Gulf of Aden until the crossings to the Gaza Strip are reopened and aid is allowed to enter.

The Yemeni forces stated in a press statement that after the expiry of the deadline given by Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi (the Houthi leader) to mediators to pressure the Israeli enemy to reopen the crossings and allow the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip, and given the mediators’ inability to achieve this, the Yemeni Armed Forces affirm the resumption of the ban on all Israeli ships passing through the designated operations area of the Red and Arabian Seas, as well as Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden.

The forces indicated that this ban takes effect from the time of the announcement of this statement.

The Yemeni forces threatened that any Israeli ship attempting to violate this ban will be targeted in the declared operations area, stressing that this ban will continue until the crossings to the Gaza Strip are reopened and the entry of aid, food, and medicine are allowed.
