WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a manhunt for a Palestinian resistance fighter after a Jewish settler was shot and moderately wounded near the illegal settlement of Ariel in the West Bank on Wednesday.
According to the Hebrew media, the settler was injured when a Palestinian opened fire at his car near Ariel’s industrial area and fled the scene.
The wounded settler reached Ariel’s industrial area after coming under fire, where he received medical assistance, according to IOF radio.
Following the incident, Israeli soldiers started blocking roads in nearby areas and using aerial surveillance in their search for the shooter.
In this regard, the Hamas Movement applauded the shooting operation near Ariel as “part of the resistance’s nonstop response to the Israeli occupation’s crimes in the West Bank.”
“The resistance will not rest as long as the occupation and its crimes are still there,” Hamas said in a statement.
