GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The director general of hospitals at the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Mohammad Zaqout, said that the Israeli occupation has not allowed any medical equipment or radiology device to enter the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, 2023.
Zaqout stressed in press statements on Wednesday that Israel did not abide by the humanitarian protocol in violation of the ceasefire agreement concluded in January, 2025.
“No key medical equipment has been brought into the Gaza Strip, except for some medical supplies and consumables,” he said.
He pointed out that Israeli occupation forces destroyed all magnetic resonance machines and CT scanners, which are essential in the diagnosis and medical follow-ups, during their incursion into Gaza’s hospitals.
During the genocidal war on Gaza, the Israeli occupation completely destroyed 34 out of 38 hospitals and put them out of service through 520 raids targeting those hospitals, according to the Ministry of Health.
The representative of the World Health Organization in the Palestinian territories, Dr. Rick Peppercorn, said in a previous statement that the health sector in Gaza suffered losses of about 6.3 billion dollars, expecting the total needs to reach more than 7 billion dollars divided between reconstruction costs and service delivery needs.
For its part, the Government Media Office in the Gaza (GMO) confirmed that the Israeli occupation has not complied with the terms of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza since the first day of its implementation, as more than 1,300 violations were detected, causing the martyrdom of dozens of people.
In a brief statement on Wednesday, the GMO said that since the morning of January 19, 2025, the occupation army committed 1,300 violations of the agreement, including killing 112 Palestinians and injuring 490, in addition to aerial bombardments, bulldozing lands, demolishing houses and tank incursions.
The occupation’s most serious violations of the agreement is its failure to abide by the humanitarian protocol, in a deliberate intention to hinder the recovery of the Gaza Strip, maintain the disastrous conditions and obstruct the reconstruction process, it elaborated.
GMO said that since the signing of the agreement, 77 shootings, 45 incursions, 37 shelling and targeting operations, and 210 cases of warplane flights were recorded.
For the 11th consecutive day, the Israeli occupation has been closing the crossings, preventing the entry of humanitarian and relief aid into the Strip, and tightening the blockade on all supplies, including food and fuel, after the end of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement.
This closure comes at a time when the residents of the Gaza Strip are suffering from catastrophic humanitarian conditions, due to the shortage of food, medicine and basic needs with the arrival of the month of Ramadan.
