JENIN (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have continued their aggression against the city of Jenin and its refugee camp for the 77th consecutive day, with widespread incursions into the governorate’s towns.
The Minister of the Israeli Army, Israel Katz announced the start of the third phase of the army’s plan in the refugee camps, especially Jenin camp, revealing that the Jenin camp roads will be expanded and army outposts will be placed inside it.
Avichai Adraee, the spokesman of the occupation army, roamed the streets of Jenin on Sunday amid heavy military protection.
Meanwhile, Israeli troops fired bullets towards a group of workers in their lands in Rummana village, west of Jenin, which led to the injury of a young man in the foot, after which he was transferred to Jenin Governmental Hospital.
On Sunday, the IOF arrested a number of displaced people near the eastern entrance of Jenin refugee camp and transferred them to an unknown destination.
The humanitarian conditions of 21,000 displaced people have worsened, with the continued aggression and thousands losing their jobs and livelihoods, as well as the continued siege on Jenin.
During the aggression, the IOF completely destroyed about 600 houses in Jenin camp, with 3,250 housing units having become uninhabitable due to the destruction and burning, in addition to the widespread destruction of streets and infrastructure.
As the Israeli aggression on Jenin continued, the Palestinian Authority (PA) went on to arrest residents in the city and the camp.
The number of martyrs in Jenin rose to 38 martyrs, including two shot by the PA security services.
The Media Committee in Jenin warned against the escalation of the coordination policy between the PA and the IOF, which aims to impose a fait accompli in Jenin camp and facilitate the IOF mission.
