GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The death toll of the Al-Shujaiya massacre in Gaza City committed by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday morning rose to 35 martyrs, including eight children, while search operations are still underway for those missing under the rubble.
Israeli warplanes bombed a four-story house belonging to the Abu Amsha family in Baghdad Street in Al-Shujaiya neighborhood of Gaza City, destroying the house and damaging ten neighboring houses, all inhabited by residents.
Medical crews have so far recovered 30 martyrs, including eight children, in addition to 50 wounded.
Local sources reported that ambulance and rescue crews are still searching for missing people under the rubble, adding that most of the victims were displaced from the outskirts of the neighborhood to its center, and were unable to move to another place because they were left with no other choice.
The sources added that the bodies of the martyrs and the wounded were transported to the hospital using animal carts, noting that the conditions in the Baptist hospital have become so difficult in light of the large number of martyrs and wounded.
Medical sources expected the number of martyrs to rise in light of the presence of critical cases among the wounded.
Since Israel resumed its genocide in Gaza on March 18, more than 1,500 Palestinians have been martyred and 3,688 others wounded, most of them children and women, according to the Ministry of Health in the Strip.
Since October 7, 2023, the IOF has been committing genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip, leaving more than 166,000 martyrs and wounded, mostly children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.
