GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Hamas Movement said the Israeli occupation’s bombing of the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital for allegedly being used for military purposes is a blatant repetition of lies to justify its brutal crimes.
Israeli occupation forces (IOF) bombed the building of the reception and emergency department of the hospital, which led to the destruction of the medical facility, knocking it out of service, and forcing dozens of patients and wounded, some of them in critical conditions, to evacuate the hospital and run to the streets.
The IOF claimed that Hamas is using the hospital building for military purposes, in a new false narrative to justify their targeting of it.
The Movement said in a statement on Sunday that the occupation government continues to show disregard for all humanitarian laws and conventions, violating the sanctity of hospitals and drowning them in the blood of civilians.
Hamas called for the formation of an independent international investigation committee to refute the Israeli false claims, put an end to the Israeli crimes and reveal the truth about the unprecedented violations committed by the occupation army in the Gaza Strip.
For its part, the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor condemned the destruction of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza, calling it a new crime added to the Israeli occupation’s violations that aim to displace civilians and eliminate the remaining safe shelters.
The Euro-Med said the Israeli claims that the hospital was used for military purposes, are mere repeated and unsubstantiated justifications aimed at covering up serious Israeli violations and war crimes.
The Euro-Med called on the international community and member states to take immediate action, using all legal and diplomatic means, to stop the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.
