SANA’A (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A series of US airstrikes targeted on Monday evening Yemen’s Kamaran Island in the Red Sea, which is located off the coast of al-Hudaydah governorate.
Loud explosions reportedly rocked the island, although no official details have yet been released regarding the targeted sites or the size of the damage caused by the strikes.
These airstrikes occurred less than 24 hours after a wave of US raids targeted the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, as well as several Yemeni governorates, including Marib and al-Jawf.
On Sunday, the Yemeni health ministry announced that US airstrikes claimed the lives of seven civilians and injured 20 others in Sana’a City’s Bani Matar district.
Yemen’s armed forces also announced on Sunday that their air defenses had shot down a US MQ-9 drone as it was overflying an area in Hajjah governorate.
