WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Palestinian man was shot and injured by a Jewish settler on Thursday evening in Masafer Yatta, south of al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank.
According to local activist Fouad Al-Amour, 60-year-old Said Al-Amour sustained a gunshot wound to the leg after a Jewish settler opened fire on him in the Al-Rakeez area, near the village of Al-Tuwani.
The shooting occurred while Al-Amour was working on his land in the rural community of Al-Rakeez.
Residents in Al-Rakeez are frequently subjected to settler violence and are regularly prevented from accessing or grazing their livestock on their agricultural lands.
These attacks form part of a broader pattern of coercive measures aimed at displacing Palestinian communities in Area C of the occupied West Bank, in violation of international law.
