NABLUS (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Two Palestinians were shot and killed by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday evening during a military raid on the town of Osarin, south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.
In a statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed it had been informed by the General Authority of Civil Affairs of the deaths of two citizens near the town of Osarin.
Local sources identified the two martyrs as Saif Ghassan Adeili and Jihad Adham Adeili, both residents of Osarin. Their killing comes just hours after the town mourned the death of detainee Musab Adeili, 20, who passed away at Israel’s Soroka Hospital shortly before his scheduled release.
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported treating a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the knee, who was later transferred to the hospital for treatment.
Witnesses said Israeli forces stormed the town amid heavy use of live ammunition, which led to the outbreak of violent clashes.
The escalation comes amid the ongoing war of genocide in the Gaza Strip, during which Israeli forces and settlers have intensified their attacks across the occupied West Bank. According to Palestinian sources, these assaults have resulted in the deaths of over 950 Palestinians and injuries to at least 7,000 others since October 2023.
