GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The writer and journalist Tamer Mekdad was martyred in an Israeli airstrike that targeted his house in the Tal al-Zaatar area in the northern Gaza Strip, which also resulted in the martyrdom of a number of his family members including his little girl child, the PIC correspondent reported on Friday.
The number of Palestinian journalist martyrs, who were killed by the Israeli occupation army since the beginning of the genocidal war in the Strip, has risen to 213 journalists, following the martyr of journalist and writer Mekdad, in Gaza City, last night.
The last martyr among journalists was Fatima Hassouna, who was martyred on April 16, after the occupation forces targeted her family’s house in Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
