Palestinian seriously injured in IOF Nablus raid

WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Palestinian youth sustained serious injuries after being shot by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday afternoon in Nablus, northern West Bank.

The young man was shot with live ammunition during confrontations that erupted following an Israeli incursion into the eastern part of Nablus. According to our correspondent, he was struck in the chest in the al-Masaken al-Sha‘biyya neighborhood.

The IOF continued to raid Nablus on a near-daily basis, routinely opening fire on civilians, erecting flying checkpoints, and restricting residents’ movement.

In a separate incident, a child sustained bruises after being assaulted by the IOF troops in Bethlehem, in the south of the West Bank.

Clashes broke out between local youth and Israeli forces after a special undercover unit, known as “Musta‘ribeen,” stormed Deheisheh refugee camp south of Bethlehem. Several young men were arrested during the raid, which triggered confrontations.

Sources confirmed that a large Israeli military force, accompanied by the special unit, invaded the camp and took position at its main entrance along the Jerusalem-al-Khalil road, spreading out in the surrounding area.

During the clashes, Israeli troops fired live bullets, tear gas canisters, and sound grenades.

Israeli forces arrested 19-year-old Yazan Jabr al-Hasanat before withdrawing from the area.

Several residents sustained bruises and injuries during the assault, including a 14-year-old child, Ahmad Mohammad Diriya, who suffered contusions to various parts of his body and head wounds following the attack in Beit Fajjar.

Local sources reported that the army targeted residents across multiple neighborhoods in the town.
