BEIRUT (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Israeli warplanes struck Beirut’s southern suburb of Dahiya on Sunday evening after issuing a warning about an imminent bombardment in the area.
Huge plumes of smoke billowed over the area after the strike, which targeted nearby buildings with three bombs. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
About an hour before the strike, a spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army issued a warning saying there would be an aerial attack on what he claimed to be “Hezbollah facilities” in the Hadath area and urged local residents to stay at least 300 meters away from the site.
Earlier today, Lebanon’s health ministry said that one citizen was killed in an Israeli drone strike in Halta town to the southeast of the country.
Since the ceasefire in Lebanon came into effect on November 27, 2024, the Israeli army has killed over 194 citizens and injured 486 others in attacks on different areas of the Arab country.
