Karachi (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The patron members of the Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF), while addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Tuesday, announced to observe the “Nakba Week” from May 7 to May 16 to express solidarity with the Palestinian people on the occasion of Nakba Day 1948. Former member of the Sindh Assembly Mahfouz Yar Khan, Allama Qazi Ahmed Noorani, Allama Sadiq Jafri, Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam, Saqlain Ishaq, Mufti Murtaza Rahmani and others addressed the conference.
The speakers said that it has been 77 years since the establishment of the usurper Zionist state of Israel on Palestine. The Palestinian people commemorate Nakba Day, i.e. the day of destruction and devastation in Palestine, every year on May 15.
On that day, the usurper Zionist state of Israel established illegal rule over Palestine with the help of the British, French and American governments. They said that it is the responsibility of every human being to raise their voice against the betrayal and injustice being done to Palestine. Today, the Palestinian people are going through the Nakba every day. Every coming day is worse than the passing day.
The speakers said that Palestine belongs only to the Palestinians and Israel is an illegitimate and usurping state of the Zionists. Father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah reacted strongly to the conspiracies against Palestine even before the creation of Pakistan and after the independence of Pakistan, adopting a clear and unequivocal stance, had declared that Israel is an illegitimate state that Pakistan will never recognize. They said that if anyone in Pakistan talks about establishing relations with Israel, he will be considered a traitor to the ideology of Pakistan.
The speakers asked the government with whose permission Pakistani citizens are going to the Zionist regime of Israel. This is an insult to the ideology of the Jinnah and Pakistan’s foreign policy. They demanded that the government take action against all such elements.
The speakers said that an awareness campaign will be launched across the country on the occasion of Nakba Day and under this title, a solidarity conference of Zakirs will be organized on May 7 in a local hall in Karachi, while protest demonstrations will be held in various mosques after Friday prayers on May 9. Imams appeal to mosques to specifically mention the Palestine issue in their Friday prayers sermons.
Similarly, a grand protest demonstration will be held in front of the Karachi Press Club on the occasion of Nakba Day on May 15, while a black day will be observed across Pakistan on May 16 and special materials related to the conspiracies of the global colonial powers, America, Britain and France, against Palestine will also be distributed in the Friday prayer gatherings.
The speakers strongly condemned the threatening attitude of the Indian government and said that the entire nation will give a befitting reply to those who look down on Pakistan with a dirty eye.
They said that America and the colonial powers want to keep Pakistan weak and unstable in the region and the Indian government is playing the role of an American puppet.
They said that the Indian government should wake up because even India itself will not be safe from the fire spread by America.
