JENIN (Palestine Foundation Information Center)Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired at a foreign diplomatic delegation on Wednesday afternoon during a visit to the Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank to observe the suffering of citizens. No injuries were reported.
Local sources reported that the delegation included European and Arab representatives from 30 countries who were on an inspection tour of the Jenin governorate when they came under fire, causing severe confusion among the delegation.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stated that the occupation forces aimed to intimidate the diplomatic delegation, while Hamas said in a statement that the targeting was “a continuation of the occupation’s arrogance and violation of all international laws and conventions.”
The occupation forces have continued their aggression against the city of Jenin and its refugee camp for the 121st consecutive day on Wednesday, during which 43 Palestinians were martyred and 600 homes were completely destroyed in the camp. The rest of the homes were partially damaged and 60% of the city’s infrastructure was destroyed, displacing about 22,000 citizens from the camp.
