GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement condemned the Israeli occupation army’s bombing and burning of a medicine warehouse at Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza Strip, considering the attack a deliberate targeting of the health sector and destruction of what remains of it, as part of the ongoing war of extermination against Gaza.
Hamas said in a statement on Friday that the Israeli attacks, which have killed dozens of people since dawn hours, constitute a renewed brutal war crime and an attempt to impose forced displacement under the yoke of bombing and massacres.
An Israeli military drone shelled the hospital on Friday afternoon, injuring three members of the medical staff, one of whom was described as being in serious condition, while they were in the reception and emergency department.
Hospital director Mohammed Salha said the occupation forces deliberately set fire to the central warehouse, destroying medical equipment and supplies in it.
He pointed out that the hospital has 19 patients and wounded citizens, including three who need surgery but prevented by the occupation army from being transferred to other hospitals.
According to the World Health Organization, 94% of Gaza hospitals have been destroyed or damaged, and the northern Gaza Strip has been stripped of almost all health care services.
