GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center)At least 55 Palestinian civilians were massacred and many others were injured in Israeli airstrikes on a school and a house in the Gaza Strip at dawn Monday.
According to media and medical sources, Israeli warplanes bombed Fahmi Al-Jarjawi School in al-Daraj neighborhood in central Gaza, where dozens of displaced families live, killing at least 36 people and injuring others.
The death toll from the Israeli attack on the school is likely to rise as search operations are ongoing to find other victims buried under the rubble.
Several charred bodies of victims were recovered from the bombed school. Disturbing footage being circulated online showed a girl child struggling to escape the flames.
According to initial reports, at least 10 children and five women were among the martyrs.
The Israeli occupation army also committed another horrifying massacre in Jabalia in northern Gaza.
According to local sources, Israeli warplanes bombed the house of the Abd Rabo family in Jabalia and reduced it to rubble, killing 19 people, mostly children.
Efforts are underway to recover the bodies of more children from the rubble.
On Sunday night, an Israeli airstrike targeted a house near tents in al-Thawra street in Gaza City, killing four civilians and injuring dozens.
