RAMALLAH (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement stated that the Jewish settler attack on the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah in the central West Bank, on Wednesday evening is part of a broader policy of Judaization and eradication pursued by the far-right Israeli occupation government.
The Movement warned of the escalating violence carried out by terrorist settler militias.
Hamas further noted that these assaults—targeting citizens’ homes and property—coincide with the accelerating pace of settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem. The attacks, Hamas said, fall within the framework of a policy of “silent annexation and forced displacement.”
Hamas affirmed that these crimes will not deter the Palestinian people from holding on to their land; rather, they will only strengthen their determination to resist and remain steadfast.
The Movement called on all Palestinians—citizens, factions, and popular movements—to unite and confront the settlers’ attacks, and to activate resistance in all its forms.
Hamas also urged the Palestinian Authority and its security forces to fulfill their national responsibilities during this critical phase and to take action to protect the Palestinian people from the escalating settler aggression.
Earlier, 35 Palestinian citizens were injured as a result of a violent attack carried out by Jewish settlers on the village of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah.
In recent days, the village has been subjected to repeated and violent settler attacks, during which homes and farms were targeted. Settlers also set fire to facilities and crops, causing significant material losses and injuring several residents during the assaults.
