BEIRUT (Palestine Foundation Information Center) One person was injured Thursday in an Israeli drone strike that targeted a car in southern Lebanon, as the Israeli occupation army continued to violate the ceasefire agreement through military incursions and entrenchments along the border.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, a civilian was wounded when an Israeli drone struck a car in the town of Burj Qlawiyeh, located in the Bint Jbeil district.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that a “hostile drone” targeted a Rapid vehicle near the official school in the town of Qlawiyeh in the Tyre province.
In a related development, the agency said that after midnight, a 20-member Israeli infantry unit crossed the Blue Line east of Mays al-Jabal, in the Krum al-Marah area of the Marjayoun district.
The force, accompanied by a bulldozer, proceeded to the Krum al-Sharqi area, where it dug a trench and erected earthen barriers—actions carried out deep inside Lebanese territory.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese army reported Thursday that one of its specialized units detonated an unexploded bomb left behind by the Israeli military. The device was safely transported to the Qlaia-Marjayoun field in southern Lebanon for controlled disposal.
Israel launched its latest military aggression against Lebanon on October 8, 2023. The offensive escalated into a full-scale war on September 23, 2024, resulting in over 4,000 deaths and nearly 17,000 injuries. The war also displaced approximately 1.4 million people.
Although a ceasefire agreement took effect on November 27, 2024, Israeli violations have persisted. According to official Lebanese figures, since the ceasefire, Israeli attacks have killed at least 208 people and wounded 501 others.
Despite a partial withdrawal, the IOF continues to occupy five strategic hills in southern Lebanon that it seized during the most recent war—openly defying the terms of the ceasefire agreement.
